Integrated Waste Management Task Force The Task Force, as it is most commonly referred to, is comprised of representatives from local government, the solid waste management and recycling industry, and members of the general public, the business sector and the environmental movement. Task Force members meet once a month in order to review plans for development or modification of solid waste facilities within the County, hear presentations from companies or agencies, discuss issues and developments relating to solid or hazardous waste management, recycling and waste, and develop positions and publications relating to such issues. You can learn more about the Task Force, obtain agendas for future meetings, minutes for past meetings, and download back issues of the Task Force's official publication, Inside Solid Waste, all from their website. Also available is a list of current members and information about the Task Force's three subcommittees. If you want more information about solid waste management in the County of Los Angeles, go to their 'Links' page and it may point you in the right direction. You can also contact them by email at: taskforce@ladpw.org
